And the other thing I did yesterday...

I am almost loathe to admit it. Me, the book snob. I read Twilight. That's right, yesterday. My brain appreciated the freeload and it was entertaining. Teen lit is almost bearable. Steve then asked me if he should read it too. Sure, I said, if you're up for a teenage romance novel. He thinks he'll pass.

So many of the blogs I am following have heated debates going on them about who Bella should hook up with and is the movie any good? (the consensus seems to be it's not as good as the book...some reviews more scathing than others) At work, the patients are reading it, the staff are reading it. It seems to be everywhere. I had to see what the hype was. And here's my take on it. Everyone loves a good vampire story especially when the vampire is good. Really good. And um, hot, really hot (or cold?). It's written in first person and other than a few annoying run ons and too much teenage dialogue, it's not bad. Certainly no Harry Potter.

I'll recommend it to a lot of people and I'll probably buy a copy to give my Mom to take south with her for the winter. I will definately never read it again. I'm feeling kinda lukewarm about the sequels and I'll probably see the movie, 'cause even I am a sucker for cheesy romance.
