Minority government. Another election. Yet again.
One thing Canadians do agree on?
We are tired of voting again.
And again. Wish us some luck.
Melissa of Making Things Up is hosting yet another Six Word Friday, go show her some love.

LOST
STOP. That's where I am at.
I seem to have lost GO.
Or maybe it's just that GO
has simply changed directions. up? down?
don't know. let me know, please,
if you ever happen upon it.
Melissa over at Making Things Up never seems to lose her GO, and she has FIVE kids so what's my excuse? If it weren't for her this blog would have died completely months ago.

Welcome Here This Week
I won't change. I refuse change.
I dig in hard. Solidly sure.
I like my house, my job.
I like my perfect, beautiful kids.
My dearest, sweetest husband. No change.
And still, I change every day.
Evolution occurs around me in spades.
My children grow. My hands age.
A coworker adventures on another continent.
Friends have new babies, new pets.
We find ourselves meeting more people.
Interesting people, new friendships never ending.
New opportunities present themselves in moments,
unasked but never unwelcome. The possibilities!
Change follows us, a constant stalker.
One change I will welcome openly:
no more vomit, no more fevers.
Change is welcome here this week.
Now go visit Melissa over at Making Things Up and while you're there, thank her for this adventure we call Six Word Fridays.

Treat
I love that Melissa of Making Things Up has decided on "treat" as this week's Six Word Fridays topic. So timely with Hallowe'en looming.
Four nights. Five Days. Solitude. Alone.
Time all mine. Uninterrupted all mine.
Writing. Reading. Writing. Walking. Writing. Writing.
Wish me luck. An inspiration faerie.
So excited. So giddy. So scared.
A Hallowe'en (re)treat just for me.
And just because I am that mom, who can't resist dressing her kids up in themed costumes, here are my favourite four in last year's garb.

Enough
Dirty dishes. Dusty shelves. Dingy Floors.
Loads of laundry, piled up high.
Bags of groceries. Boxes of produce.
Reading words. Writing words. Speaking words.
Numbers. Long lists of naughty numbers.
Hard homework. Homework help. Homework. Homework.
Home maintenance. Clean furnace. Solid foundation.
Eaves troughs filled full with leaves.
Trees to trim. Grass to cut.
Sick patient. Sicker patient. Sickest patient.
Sad families waiting in dark hallways.
Too many important things left unsaid.
Hands to hold, hearts to love.
Living Room dance parties. Couch cuddles.
Simple smiles, glorious giggles, great guffaws.
BUT not enough time. Never enough.
