I've been lusting after this for a long time

I have an amazing husband. Best partner ever, on so many levels. AND yes, I lust after him still. But this post is not about him or the not so naughty (we ARE married after all) naughty thoughts I have about him. It's a post about my kitchen.

Ten years we have lived in this house and for ten years I have talked about renovating our kitchen. And not just a little paint kind of renovating. Gutted renovating. For ten years it has made me sick to my stomach thinking about not having a kitchen to use while the renovation was being done, it's the number one reason it has taken so long to get to this point. It's not quite done. Counter tops, painting and tiling all in the next week or so. So I'm only posting the GOODBYE TO THE OLD KITCHEN photos. You'll have to pop back next week for the AFTER edition.

Good for you - finally taking the kitchen renovation plunge. It was hard for me too, when we gutted our house. But we've been back in our house for two years now and it's like we were never without it. I hope it goes quickly for you guys!

OH, I'm so so jealous. We have such work cut out for us here. And such great possibilities. And absolutely no funds right now. But the ideas the ideas. So, when the money tree starts a-shakin. Watch out! And I'll know who to come to for support when I'm lamenting not having a kitchen (or a staircase or a...) for a bit. Love ya, Shawna!

Oh man, me too. Although I've only been lusting and dreaming about a new kitchen for 6 years. I would LOVE to take a sledgehammer and do the demolition work. Unfortunately, I expect we'll finally re-do the kitchen exactly 9 months before we sell the house. Isn't that how it always works?

Can't wait to see the after photos!

I am so excited to see the other side. We finally did our reno, complete with tearing down a wall to open it up to the dining room, while I was pregnant with our 3rd. Oh, but it took a long time and then, once it was done, such harmony that we wondered why we didn't do it sooner. Congratulations!
