There are three blogs that I adore. Three crafters with beautiful children and heartfelt, handmade art. I will add links for [i]LoveLife, Handmade Homeschool, and mamieknits in the sidebar. I aspire to be like them in any way, shape or form. And so I took up knitting. Here are the results of my first project. It's just a scarf, fifteen stitches of knitting. Just knitting, nothing else. I needed to work on tension and I needed to feel something successful at the end to encourage me to continue with it. I am pretty happy with the results. Now I have to move onto the hard stuff. Not until Fall though, soccer season has started and I am finally getting out on my bike to train for the MS bike tour, which you can sponsor me for by clicking on this link.

There is something so calming about knitting. Busy hands, as you said. And I'll check out the links.
